At our office, we ensure that patients receive the most advanced orthodontic care. Our office regularly attends seminars and conferences devoted to new treatments, new technologies and excellent patient care practices. With patient care as our top priority, this is our commitment to you.
To ensure prompt attention and minimize delays for our patients, orthodontic visits are scheduled on an appointment basis. The frequency and length of appointments vary depending on the scheduled treatment to be performed on the scheduled day. As a general rule, appointments are scheduled at 4-6 week intervals once orthodontic treatment is underway. Although our office tries to schedule the majority of our school-age patients after school or on holidays, it is necessary that some appointments be scheduled during the school hours. We work hard to accommodate your scheduling needs.
It is very important while undergoing orthodontic treatment that our patients see their family dentist for regular checkups. As a service to our patients and their dentist, we have a policy that we remove orthodontic archwires prior to your dental cleanings. Our office will be glad to coordinate your orthodontic appointments with your dentist for these checkups.
If there is a time when you see you cannot make a scheduled appointment, we kindly ask that you call 24 hours in advance so that others can take advantage of that appointment.
Orthodontic insurance is becoming more prevalent in the Tuscaloosa area as our area experiences economic growth. Orthodontic insurance is typically a rider to your dental policy that covers a portion of the orthodontic fee, usually has a lifetime maximum and may have an age limit maximum. Our insurance staff will confirm your coverage and the benefits available to you. All insurance filing requirements will be handled by our office insuring timely and accurate reimbursements for payments made to our office. We request that you bring your insurance information and/or your dental insurance card to your initial evaluation appointment.
