Crystal
Practice Relations Coordinator
Crystal is our Practice Relations Coordinator and is passionate about building strong relationships with our referring dental offices, patients, and their families. She brings creativity to the practice through social media, fun giveaways and engaging contests.
A graduate of the University of Alabama, Crystal also works as a freelance graphic designer and enjoys any opportunity to create. Originally from Fort Payne, Alabama, she moved to Tuscaloosa in 2023 and joined our team in August 2025.
Outside of the office, Crystal enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and grandchildren. She is always up for a spur-of-the-moment trip and loves attending concerts.
Terrie
Appointment Coordinator
Terrie has been in the medical field for the past 27 years. She joined our team in 2021 and is loving her transition into Orthodontics! She is the first to greet you with her bright smile and welcoming personality. Terrie’s favorite thing about her job is building relationships with our patients and their families while watching their smiles transform!
Kira
Treatment Coordinator
Kira has been with us since 2009! Kira is our Treatment Coordinator and enjoys coming to work and meeting people as they start to change their lives. She works closely with patients, reviews treatment plans, explains the process, and works on finances, too. She wants to make sure people are able to make informed decisions about care and their new smile!
Kira is originally from California but has lived in the Tuscaloosa area more than 20 years. She attended Shelton State and graduated from the University of Alabama is a BS in finance/real estate.
Kira enjoys riding bikes with son, Dryver and spending time with family.
Mandy
Insurance Coordinator
Mandy joined the practice in 2020 in the practice relations role. After taking time away to care for family, she returned in August 2023 as the Insurance Coordinator. In her current role, she is dedicated to helping patients navigate their insurance benefits with clarity and confidence, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from start to finish.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and family, cheering on her daughters in everything they do, and enjoys the outdoors—because there’s nothing better than good company, fresh air, and a little sunshine.
Kristy
Financial Coordinator
Kristy is a Tuscaloosa native and has been a valued member of our team since 2019. As our Financial Coordinator, she is dedicated to helping every family find a way to afford their treatment, using her strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills to make the process smooth and stress-free.
When she’s not at the office, Kristy enjoys spending time with her husband Trace, along with her family, friends and her precious grandchildren Rush, Heidi and Beau. She lives by the motto, “Start each day with a Grateful Heart" and truly brings that spirit into everything she does.
Layla
Receptionist
Layla is the newest face greeting patients at our front desk. She joined our team in October 2025, and is adjusting well to the fast-paced world of orthodontics.
When she’s not at the office, she’s all about family time with her husband and two kids. You’ll likely find her on the sidelines of a local field or arena cheering them on at their latest sporting events!
Anna
Lab Technician
Anna is from Gordo, Alabama and has been a valued member our team since 2019. As our orthodontic lab technician, she brings positivity and precision to the lab, creating custom appliances and retainers for our patients while also managing our 3D-printed models.
Outside of the office, Anna enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and caring for her five pets. She is married to her husband, Dystin. A fun fact about Anna - she was born in Russia and adopted at six months old!
Abbie
Sterilization Technician
Abbie joined our team in April 2024. As our Sterilization Technician, she is responsible for ensuring all orthodontic instruments are thoroughly cleaned, properly maintained, and ready for patient care. In addition to her sterilization duties, Abbie is always attentive to the needs of her coworkers, providing quick and efficient support throughout the office.
Outside of work, Abbie enjoys reading, shopping, traveling to new places, and spending time with her friends and family.
Angela
Orthodontic Assistant
A Tuscaloosa native, Angela has been a valued member of Riverview Orthodontics since 2006. Known for her calm and compassionate approach, she specializes in caring for patients with anxiety, helping them feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visits. Angela is also dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of sterilization and sanitation, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for every patient. In addition, she manages ordering and supplies to keep the practice running smoothly.
Outside of the office, Angela enjoys spending quality time with her son and granddaughter. She also loves relaxing trips to the beach whenever she can.
Erica
Orthodontic Assistant
Erica joined our team in August 2021 and is a highly valued member of our practice. She began her career in orthodontics over 10 years ago and also brings four years of experience in oral surgery. This background allows her to confidently assist our surgical patients and answer any questions they may have about upcoming procedures.
Erica’s friendly and outgoing personality helps patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. Her favorite part of her job is building relationships with patients while helping transform their smiles.
A natural multitasker, Erica is always organizing, stocking, and lending a helping hand to her teammates. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Nick, and their sons, John William and Benjamin. She loves being outdoors, making family memories, and relaxing with a good book.
Brooke
Orthodontic Assistant
Brooke joined our team in 2020 and has been a wonderful addition. Her smile lights up the room! As an orthodontic assistant, she spends her days assisting in the process of your smile transformation.
In her free time, Brooke loves to go to country music concerts and travel to new places. Brooke spent much of her life playing softball and is a 3 time State Champion!
Kate
Orthodontic Assistant and Digital Coordinator
Kate is a Tuscaloosa native and has been sharing her smiling face and bubbly personality with Riverview Orthodontics since 2016. Along with assisting chair side, Kate takes intra-oral scan, coordinates and arranges all Invisalign and aligner therapy cases, and works with our 3D printer making various appliances.
When she is not at work, Kate enjoys playing with her dog, Kash, going to concerts, and traveling to new places.
Braylee
Orthodontic Assistant and Record Technician
Braylee plays an important role both chairside and in patient records. In addition to assisting during clinical procedures, she completes records for new patients and recalls, including intra-oral scanning and radiographs. Braylee is known for her optimistic attitude and ability to make prompt, thoughtful decisions, helping ensure a smooth and positive experience for both patients and team members.
Outside of the office, she enjoys going on walks with her dog, Slinky, as well as drawing, painting, and reading a good book. Braylee is also a recent graduate of the University of Alabama, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree.
Olivia
Orthodontic Assistant
Olivia joined our team in March 2025 as one of our newest orthodontic assistants, bringing two years of experience from Birmingham. She has a passion for building connections with her patients and takes pride in helping them feel confident throughout their smile journey. Olivia’s favorite part of orthodontics is pontic placement, she says there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a patient’s reaction when they fall in love with their new smile.
Outside of the office, Olivia enjoys spending time on the golf course, relaxing at the beach, and exploring hiking trails.
Monica
Dental Hygienist
Monica graduated from UAB as a Dental Hygienist. She spends her days removing braces and watching her patients see their new smiles for the first time!
Monica's best skill while doing her job is the ability to relax her patients. Monica's ultimate goal is to spend more time doing charity work in the community. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as singing solos at church.
